Bruce Allen says you're "dogmatic" and "missing the big picture" on Chinatown. Show him he's wrong on Monday at City Hall.
He says 105 Keefer is a "no-brainer". We need to fight back.
Yes, Bruce Allen, the music manager, wrote a column in Vancouver Is Awesome on why Beedie’s gentrifier condo development in Chinatown, 105 Keefer, needs to be approved.
In his piece, he calls people against 105 Keefer — like you and the dozens of Chinatown seniors who protested at City Hall — part of a “dogmatic group is missing the big picture” on Chinatown. According to him, Beedie’s 111-unit market condo project is a “no-brainer” because “the area needs it”, and “anything that smells like an improvement should be welcomed with open arms.”
People have been sharing and liking his article Twitter and Facebook, including the Executive Director of the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Garden, Lorraine Lowe (who also sent these letters threatening legal action on this website).
You bet that Beedie and their supporters who think like Bruce will be out in force at Monday’s Development Permit Board hearing on 105 Keefer.
Show them that you and Chinatown seniors are not missing the big picture about Chinatown by speaking against 105 Keefer at City Hall on Monday, Jun 12:
