Reclaim Sun Yat Sen Park tomorrow with Tea & Paint (Sat, Oct 7)
Plus a sneak peek of what you'll be learning
Help reclaim Sun Yat-Sen Public Park by joining Tea & Paint Koi with lucky.munyi tomorrow (Saturday, Oct 7) from 1-3pm.
The Vancouver Parks Board has made made the Sun Yat Sen Public Park in increasingly inaccessible for the public by permanently locking eastern gate facing the Chinatown Memorial Plaza and cutting back hours — making it look "closed" and forcing everyone, including seniors and disabled folks, to walk an entire city block to enter.
It’s time to reclaim this public park. And we’re going to do it in a fun way with culture.
Even if you don’t have an RSVP, come on down anyway! Everyone’s welcome. For guaranteed seating, bring a tiny stool if you’re able to as space is limited within the park.
