105 Keefer supporters say you're a "Helicopter Activist". Prove them wrong.
Register to speak at City Hall on May 29.
105 Keefer supporters like Jordan Eng who’s the head of Chinatown’s Business Improvement Association, have been referring to opponents of Beedie's 105 Keefer condo development as "helicopter activists" in an effort to undermine your credibility. (Update: See response from a reader below)
Prove Beedie’s supporters wrong. Let's descend into City Hall in mass and make our voices heard loudly that 105 Keefer is not going to improve Chinatown at all.

Update from reader: We received a response from a reader, Angela May, PhD Candidate at McMaster University whose doctoral research focuses on the politics of loss and home specifically in Vancouver's Downtown Eastside:
“[P]erhaps we would not have to "helicopter" into the neighbourhood if any of us could actually afford to live there. The accusation that we are "helicoptering" is ultimately just an admission that we are being priced out of our own historic, cultural, and/or literal home AND yet another elision of the people who actually DO live in the neighbourhood and are in fact not helicoptering anywhere at all.”
