Get ready to laugh about Chinatown on Sunday + A sneak peek of the piñata
Laugh and sing your slippers off to give the mic back to Chinatown
Have you ever wondered what various Chinese diaspora really think about Chinatown? Well now you get to know with standup comedy!
We’re excited to partner with UniCome, a grassroots Chinese queer feminist collective, on the first standup comedy event at the Chinatown Memorial Plaza to Give the Mic Back to Chinatown.
Join us on tomorrow Sunday, September 17th from 2 to 5 PM at the Chinatown Memorial Plaza for an engaging program that features stand-up comedy performances in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English, an open mic session (you’re welcome to participate with comedy, poetry reading, storytelling or anything you want!), and karaoke. There will also be buns, beverages, and snacks for everyone!
A sneak peek of the 105 Keefer piñata featured at the Chinatown Dance Party tonight (Sat, Sept 16)
Don’t miss the Chinatown dance party of the summer! Eat some 105 Keefer cake and slipper slap some bad vibes out of Chinatown tonight at the Chinatown Memorial Plaza from 6:30pm to 10pm.
We need your help to setup the event! Come early to the Memorial Plaza at 5:30pm to help us set up.
