Well, you’re in for a treat — This Sunday, May 12, in honour of matriarchs like Swallow in Chinatown, you can also buy some handmade jewelry and crafts from Swallow and other elders at the Chinatown Seniors Mini Market!
Swallow will also be doing a dance performance with the Carnegie Dance Troupe in honour of the late community elder and activist William Lim.
In addition, you’ll get to watch and learn Uyghur traditional dance from the only Uyghur traditional dance teacher, Ada, in Western Canada.
