INVITE: Banner Making Workshop for Lunar New Year (Sat, Jan 4)

Chinatown Together is back again!

Let’s celebrate and ring in the new year with another banner making workshop to get us ready for Lunar New Year!

📍WHERE: Sun Wah Centre - Room 422 - 268 Keefer Street

Learn how to DIY your own small-medium banner with community friend Bev Ho from @yarrowsociety and community elder and master seamstress Ms. Zhang!

Whether you’re looking to make a banner to decorate the home, gift a banner to a loved one, or for personal purposes, this is the workshop for you! Come craft with community. All supplies will be provided and we’ve got a variety of textiles and fun accessories for you to get creative with!

This event will be at a much smaller scale than our usual events as the Chinatown Together team will still be taking some much needed rest and recovery time. Please ensure you RSVP as there will be limited spots and supplies.

To ensure inclusivity, interpretation for instructions will be available in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.

Snacks and beverages will be provided, courtesy of Chinatown Together throughout the event.
