Sneak peek of Sunday's Cantonese Opera performance
Plus a new addition to the Chinatown Seniors Mini Market!
The stage is set, and sound equipment ready to go.
For Chinatown Together’s most ambitious event at the Chinatown Plaza Mall yet, the 梨園之星 Lee Yuen Cheer Sing Cantonese opera troupe of 20 performers and assistants will be staging five famous short form plays this Sunday, June 16th.
The opera performers will be in full traditional makeup and costumes—a rare public sight, as it takes hours of preparation and incredible skill to put on.
We’ll also be providing English, Cantonese, and Mandarin interpretation of the synopsis so you know what you’re watching. And as always, there will be free refreshments for everyone. So don’t miss the last Chinatown Together event of the spring season!
🗓️WHEN: Sunday, June 16 2024, 2:00PM to 5:00PM
